LG has launched its new K-Series smartphones with an option to drive away mosquitoes. It’s not an April Fool message. Thus LG Smartphone has launched a brand new phone – the LG K7i. ‘Mosquito Away’ technology will be the biggest highlight of this smartphone.
The LG K7i smartphone have a 5-inch 854×480 touchscreen, a 1.1 GHz quad-core processor, 16GB of expandable storage, 2GB of RAM, an 8 MP main camera with LED flash, a 5 MP selfie snapper, dual-SIM functionality, a fingerprint sensor, and a 2,500 mAh battery.
It will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The price of this LG Smartphone K7i can be had for INR 7,990.
As the name LG smartphone implies, it will keep mosquitoes away from you. This uses a ultrasonic noise which is inaudible to humans but not to mosquitoes, which will protect you from bites while the phone is with you.
The Mosquito Away tech is part of the smartphone’s back cover, if you are not interested in that, you can swap it with a normal cover.
Amit Gujral, Chief Marketing Officer, LG Electronics India, said in the launch, “LG has always been at the forefront of unique innovations. With this launch, LG is bringing the mosquito away technology closer to the consumers in the form of a mobile device which can be an integral part of their daily lives.”
Specific featurs of LG K7i
The highlight feature of the LG K7i is its Mosquito Away technology, which uses 30KHz ultrasonic sound waves – said to be harmless to humans – to drive away mosquitoes. The company adds the smartphone has no “harmful chemicals”, and neither were any used in developing it. The technology, which is enabled by the speaker on the additional rear cover, does not require any refills, LG adds. The smartphone can be placed on a stand when the mosquito repellent is activated.
As for the LG K7i specifications, the dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It sports a 5-inch OnCell display, and is powered by an unspecified quad core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM.
